Tipsport Czech Ladies Open 2020 confirmed

Tipsport Czech Ladies Open taking place from 28th to 30th August is about to be the greatest golf event of the year in Czech republic. After last year’s premiere at Karlštejn the tournament moves to Beroun Golf Club, transforms from dual LET/LET Access tournament into full – fledged Ladies European Tour status and rises prize money to EUR 200, 000.

Tipsport Czech Ladies Open 2020 will be the first ladies elite tournament on the Continent, not counting the UK where the LET resumes its season interrupted by the pandemic. In the LET calendar, Tipsport Czech Ladies Open 2020 follows immediately after Ladies Scottish Open where the season restarts and a major event Women’s British Open. This unique position in the calendar ensures the best players participation from abroad.

More than a month before the start of Tipsport Czech Ladies Open there are already some well-known names among the registered. There are year-long Order of Merit ladder winners Lee-Anne Pace (RSA) and Beth Allen (USA) along with the last year’s champion Carly Booth from Scotland. Other strong British representants are LET tournament winners Annabel Dimmock, Becky Morgan, Florentyna Parker, Hannah Burke or Amy Boulden. A successful Swedish player Camilla Lennarth is returning to the Czech Republic as well as last year’s surprise, young Slovene Pia Babnik. Registration deadline is two weeks before start so there are more stars to be expected.

“I am very happy that after months of uncertainty caused by the global health situation we can announce the return of both Czech tournament and the whole Ladies European Tour. The event will take place with health-protecting precautions for all participants according to our and LET norms. One hundred percent safety is our priority. I am also pleased by continuing support and cooperation from our titular partner, Tipsport betting company and new partnership with Beroun Golf Club. I also must thank Golf Club Karlštejn once more for the possibility of organizing last year’s tournament at their course. I appreciate the priceless help of our other partners including LET. The position of the tournament obliges us to organize a high quality event which should be the top of the year,” said promoter Luboš Koželuh from the company Premier Sports CZ.

The first meeting between the organizers and the media will take place in Beroun on Tuesday 4th August, the same day the visit of tournament director Joao Pinto will finish. The tournament itself will start with practice rounds during the week from 24th August. There will be a Pro-Am played on Wednesday 26th August, Thursday 27th August will belong to the last practice round. And on Friday 28th August the three-day Tipsport Czech Ladies Open 2020 gaming program will start.
