Dear Friends, Golf Lovers, Colleagues
I would like to look back with you at the successful 2nd year of the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open 2020 golf tournament with the benefit of hindsight. It took place from 28 to 30 August 2020 and was hosted by the beautiful Golf Club Beroun. Let me take this opportunity to thank all those who took part in the successful organization of the tournament, forming a full part of the prestigious Ladies European Tour. The success of our tournament is illustrated by 30 thank-you emails and letters from players, words of appreciation from LET representatives, but also from spectators and members of Golf Club Beroun.
We witnessed breath-taking moves, exciting moments and personal successes. A total of 132 professionals and amateurs took part in the tournament. The winner in the dramatic end was the Danish golfer Emily Kristen Pedersen, even though she did not succeed according to her own ideas on the final day. The excellent third round moved home star Klára Spilková to 13th place (shared), who thus became the best-placed Czech player. The best amateur of the tournament, Sára Kousková, also experienced a successful last day of the tournament and took the final 20th place. The amateur Tereza Koželuhová also achieved great personal success, who got to her first ever final in the Ladies European Tour tournament with her birdie on the last hole of the 2nd round.
My initial thanks go especially to the partners who formed an integral part and a large share of the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open 2020 tournament. That is, those without whose financial and material help the tournament could never have taken place and the players would not have been able to win the coveted financial rewards. In this way, I would also like to thank you for your support and partnership in this important sports event. We did our best to present the tournament and partners in the media and we were successful. The most important arguments are the following numbers: 133 billboards and 406 CLV, 5 hours of live broadcasts, over 400,000 viewers on ČT (Czech Television) and almost 200,000 users on social networks. We value our mutual cooperation and believe that we will continue it in the future.
I must not forget to thank my colleagues from Premier Sports CZ led by Martina Tvarůžková, all the employees of Golf Club Beroun, managers Vojtěch Matějček and Michal Tůma and their well-organized and always helpful team for perfectly prepared conditions, which were a necessary basis for a successful tournament.
