Tipsport Czech Ladies Open: The best of ladies golf

One of the most important events in Czech sport this year will start in precisely two weeks and it is the biggest type of golf tournament that can be held for ladies: the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open 2021.

A top tournament on the professional Ladies European Tour will be held at the Beroun GC course for the second time, from Friday 25 June to Sunday 27 June.

A total of 132 professionals and amateurs from around the world and all its continents will compete in three rounds of 18 holes in a stroke play tournament, with a cut for the top 60 after the second round. The tournament’s prize money is EUR 200,000.


The rising quality of Czech golf will also have an effect on the players present at the fifth tournament of the season on the LET circuit. Spectators can look forward to starts by at least ten home golfers, five professionals and five amateurs.


Czech professionals will be represented by Kateřina Vlašínová, Kristýna Napoleaová, Eva Koželuhová and Šideri Váňová. Lucie Hinnerová was just under the qualification requirement at the deadline for applications and her start depends on how the field is filled by foreign players.


One of the Czech amateurs that will be present is Sára Kousková, a recent winner of the LET Access Series tournament at Konopiště and twelfth last year in Beroun, after a wonderful final round of 67. We will also see the talented Tereza Koželuhová, who in May made the cut at the LET tournament in Italy and finished 35th among the European elite; she made the final round in Beroun last year.

Tereza Melecká will also start; at the home LET Access event this year she finished third, after coming second twice. There will also be other US university students Patricie Macková and Jana Melichová. Kristýna Frýdlová is on the waiting list.

In any case, spectators will see a top-level sports event, whether on the spot or in live broadcasts on O2 TV Sport. Flights with the best foreign and Czech players should be on the course on Friday from 14:00 to 19:00 and on Saturday from 9:00 to 14:00. The tournament will climax on Sunday 27 June between 11:00 and 15:00. It is one of the LET tournaments with the best players from the viewpoint of the domestic promoter.
