After eight tournaments in Africa, in Asia and in Australia it is for the first time this year Ladies European tour 2022 turning back on the continent after whom the tour is called. Comunidad de Madrid Ladies Open from 5th to 8th May with live broadcasts O2 TV Sport launches a European tour, which, with the exception of the next tournament in Thailand, will last until the beginning of October. Tipsport Czech Ladies Open in Beroun (24th to 26th June 2022) is part of this tour too.
Comunidad de Madrid Ladies Open on golf field Jarama – Race Golf Club has prize money in total 300 000 EUR. Two Czech professional players will participate at this tournament. Tereza Melecká, who after her second cut this year finished in TOP 30 at Women’s NSW Open this Sunday. Second player is Šideři Váňová, who also went through the cut in Australia for the second time this year.
Unfortunately number 14. in actual LET ranking, Kristýna Napoleaová, was not able to fly to Madrid due to health problems, healing ribs injury. Also Tereza Koželuhová, before leaving for this year’s first participation at LET, suffered from the disease.
O2 TV SPORT broadcasts live from two weekend rounds, Saturday 7th May and Sunday 8th May, always from 13 – 16 o´clock. Among the stars in Madrid will be the winner of the last tournament in Australia and the three-time tour champion, the Swede Maja Stark, who also leads the Race to Costa del Sol season ranking.
After victory on home soil, South African Women´s Open, Lee-Anne Pace will be shown and Slovenian Pia Babnik, who was third in the first major of the LPGA tour in April, is also present. Carly Booth is waiting for a comeback after injury, the winner of Tipsport Czech Ladies Open 2019. Booth and Babnik are both in entries for Tipsport Czech Ladies Open in Beroun this year.
