Over the past several seasons, opportunities for Czech fans to follow our female and male players in global competitions have expanded significantly. There have also been more joyful moments of victories and entries into Czech golf history. The successful year 2025 gives hope that there will be plenty to look forward to in the year ahead as well.
The highest-level and, from a Czech perspective, the most closely followed professional competition will again be the European Ladies European Tour (LET), where Czech golf will maintain strong representation for the 2026 season. On the tour, we will continue to follow Czech mainstays Sára Kousková, Klára Davidson Spilková, and Jana Melichová, while in the Czech contingent Patricie Macková, the new holder of a full LET playing card, will replace Kristýna Napoleaová. By the narrowest of margins, Lucie Váchová missed out on becoming the fifth Czech player with full LET status — she was just three strokes short of a career-defining achievement in the final stage of Q-School. Nevertheless, the newly turned professional Váchová, along with Tereza Melecká, will appear in a significant number of LET tournaments in the 2026 season thanks to their conditional statuses.
Although Sára Kousková attempted to break into the overseas LPGA Tour, the effort was unsuccessful, and the Czech number one ultimately admitted that this outcome was for the best, as she feels most comfortable on the European LET. Klára Davidson Spilková confirmed her stable form this season and demonstrated the potential to achieve great things in the upcoming year. After a year-long health break and a spectacular return in the autumn, Jana Melichová will have the entire season to capitalize on the excellent form in which she returned to the tour. During the winter break, Kristýna Napoleaová plans to focus on her swing and further steps aimed at restarting her peak form and returning to the Ladies European Tour.
Let us therefore see what the 2026 season brings and wish Czech golf success in holding its own within European and global competition!
