Two weeks before the beginning of Tipsport Czech Ladies Open, the local golfers are in extremely promising form, which was proven last weekend at both European series. And so we can only look forward to what Ladies European Tour will bring from 24 to 26 June in Royal Beroun Golf club in front of the O2 TV Sport cameras.
Tereza Melecká improved her best in her first professional season on LET again. She tied for 17th place at the Ladies Italian Open and recorded her second Top 20 finish of the year. „I have a string of four tournaments behind me and now I will have two weeks off before Tipsport Czech Ladies Open“ she said about her plans.
The home golfers had a great performance at the LET Access Series tournament in Prague, in Zbraslav. Sara Kousková finished in second place in her first professional start, she was defending her title from a tournament in Konopiště from last year. The fourth place was shared by two amateurs who are also counted on in Beroun, Patricie Macková a Jana Melichová.
Although Kristýna Napoleaová did not make the cut in LET in Italy, Czech number two will have, after intercostal muscles injury, another chance to build on her excellent second place from March in Aramco Saudi Ladies International. She is entered for both tournaments which are played before Tipsport Czech Ladies Open: This week at Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed and next week in London for the Aramco Team Series, also broadcast live from O2 TV Sport for all three rounds.
Klára Spilková will also play two tournaments before Beroun. Czech number one will play at LPGA for the first time this week, in New Jersey at Shoprite LPGA Classic. She will participate at Epson Tour v Michigan next week. In the new world wanking at the end of May Spilková and Napoleová were separated by just eight places, at possitions 332 and 340.
