Tipsport Czech Ladies open tournament , which will take place as part of the Ladies European Tour at the Royal Beroun Golf Club from June 24th to 26th 2022, will experience many for the first time.
For the first time 16 home golfers are on the start list, for the first time after two previous years tournament will be without any restrictions and for the first time O2 TV SPORT will make live broadcast from all three tournament days.
„We are glad that we are part of the world golf circuit, which takes place on 5 continents. We are pleased that the position of the most important Czech women’s golf tournament is constantly improving. Also for the first time there are 4 Czech golf players who got into the tournament for their tour cards among 132 player,” said promoter Luboš Koželuh from Premier Sports at press conference before tournament, by the way all press conference was live broadcasted on O2 TV SPORT social media.
„We are pleased that the city Beroun has taken on not only this big sport event but also the new name of the club, reflecting the royal status of the city. It is actually only change, otherwise the golf field retains its proven conditions for the most important tournament of the year,“ said Vojtěch Matějček, president Royal Golf club Beroun.
„The golf field is getting better and better every year. In the last two years results here were interestingly low, but I think that this year the path will be more on the high difficulty,“ said Joao Pinto tournament director of Ladies European tour.
„We have already placed the main tournament bets for the fans and we will gradually add more, including duels. Tipsport TV will broadcast approximately twelve hours blocks and as a new partner from Sára Kousková will also take part in a charity auction of her paintings,“ said Václav Sochor. Top favorite is Sweden’s Johanna Gustavsson with odds of 8: 1, from the domestic players trusts Tipsport the most to Klára Spilková (odds 20: 1), who plays in Beroun after two years.
„I am looking forward to returning not only here, but to the Ladies European tour, which I have played for 8 years,“ said Klára Spilková after four years experience on the American golf tour. Kristýna Napoleaová has new expectations. Last year she passed the LET cut for the first time in Beroun, but this year she finished second at Saudi Ladies International. „I feel energy after last week when I played the Aramco Team Series in London,“ Czech number two can´t wait to start. For Sára Kousková it will be her first professional start at LET tournament, she was in TOP 20 last year in Beroun, but as an amateur. „Formally it is a big transfer, but I hope that my golf will not change and stay just as good,“ said the second player of the LET Access Series from Zbraslav recently.
„Last year, four Czech players went through the cut at the Tipsport Czech Ladies open. I believe that it can be up to seven this year,” added promoter Luboš Koželuh. In addition to a total prize money of € 200,000, the players are also motivated by hole-in-one bonuses. A check for 10,000 euros from Tipsport on the sixth hole and a watch from the Hodinářství Bechyně on the 17th hole. And if the sensational hole-in-one falls on a four-pair hole nine again, just like last year’s Finn Sanny Nuutinen, the Royal Beroun Golf Club has a reward ready again. “Last year I brought watches to Sanna to Finland for the next tournament,” added Luboš Koželuh.

For spectators
Entry for free. There will be registration for spectators by filling a simple form. Registration is possible in advance at web site www.czechladiesopen.cz or at the entrance. Spectators who register will have a special discount for entry tickets in 2023.
Refreshment in the complex. There will be cold and hot cuisine, beer and soft drinks in the tent between holes number 9 and 10.
Free parking. Secured in Royal Beroun GC complex.
